  1. First time in Japan and being clueless about its customs I left a 1000 yen tip and left. A minute later, the waitress gasping for air catched up to me to return the 1000 yen she thought I forgot. Ofcourse now I know that there is a no tips policy in Japan, but it scared the shit out of me when she ran at me screaming something in japanese lol.

  2. Your penmanship after sake and using chop sticks and soy sauce is better than mine sober and with a pen. I write like a drunken preschooler having a seizure

  3. As expected the comments turned into an argument about tips. Smh pay servers what they deserve and end tipping

  4. A manager gave you your receipt without a pen? What the fuck? These ‘rona times are messing EVERYONE up!

  5. This system for tipping always sketched me out: especially when they take your card away.

Most places in Canada, the machine is brought to your table and you enter the tip and complete the transaction yourself. It also allows you to enter a % instead of calculating the value yourself.

  6. You have to fill out something like this every damn time you eat, instead of just demanding a change in legislation from politics that waiters and waitresses earn enough to sustain themselves without tips and not having to deal with this shit ever again?

Inb4 people claiming this way the waiters/waitresses actually have an interest to be friendly and such: They do have that same interest aswell if the policies are changed, since being unfriendly would lead to customers complaining and maybe even getting them fired or the restaurant getting a bad reputation and people not revisiting. It is in fact in their own interest as employees of the restaurant to keep the reputation high. And if you demand the overly much fake friendliness and over-the-top service then fuck you. Waiters/waitresses are human beings, not robots.
