  1. I’m not the biggest fan of the filmography, too much slow motion with normal motion. It would have been nice to just see a whole performance, and the cut to some slow motions later etc.

    Either way, coming from New Zealand, I constantly see stuff about how fierce the Haka is, and how people are jealous that NZ has it. Which is just wild since the indigenous stuff in the Americas is crazy fierce and soulful. I really hope through these kinds of promotions that the indigenous cultures there can become more generally accepted and respected – And this is coming from a random white NZ guy that has no history with these cultures (except the whole great grandparents taking land etc).

  2. How similar are Canadian indigenous languages? Cause I know some Anishinabeg and I believe they speak Algonquin right? But their word for grandmother is also kookum. Are a lot of the languages similar?
