I once got really drunk and ended up at some dude’s place. He gave me a slice of cheese and I dropped it. Instead of saying anything, he just gave me another one. Bros ever since.
This made me smile!
My mom was a lunch lady when I was in elementary school. Recently, a former classmate reached out to me on FB Messenger and we got to talking.
One of the first things she asked me was how my mom was doing. She remembered how nice my mom was to everyone.
Telling my mom about that made her day! She has some memory issues, but she remembered that girl…

I’m guessing if this kiddo drops their food at home, that is all the food there is so they have to go without. Your kindness and ability to give them more food clearly made an impression on them.

I call fake. The eyebrows are too nice and the spelling looks like it was purposefully spelled bad. Also, no 1st grader dots each pupil like that… And is that supposed to be a “heart in the shape of a <3” up there in the left corner with a totally different colour all neatly filled in the lines but still “just cute enough” to make it look like a 1st grader doesnt know what a heart looks like? pleaaaase give me a break…..
My mom was a lunch lady and when I asked her if she got something like this she pulled out a handmade book the children made for her and the other lunch ladies, it was filled with thank you notes!
My first day as an elementary school lunch lady I was in the dish room. A second grader placed their dirty tray on the counter and yelled “I feel sorry for you!” then scurried away. Cracked me up
We were poor as dirt growing up in the 70s in the U.K. my dinner ladies knew this, would rush me to the front of the que. give me a good feed, then make me run around the playground to burn of some of the potatoes and liver, then bring me for a second round just before they closed and the bell went. They knew that I wouldn’t eat till the next day.
Dinner laddies are angels warts and all lol

My kindergartener was telling a story about lunch while we were driving home from school, and mentioned how Ms. Becky was the hot lunch lady, along with what was for lunch and why he bought extra. His older brother agreed and my wife and I looked at each other, in shock…
“Ms. Becky’s the hot lunch lady, huh?” I ask with a stupid dad smirk. “Yeah, I don’t remember the cold lunch lady’s name – but I didn’t want that lunch today.”
Relief washes over my wife’s face, and I stifle some laughter…
