  1. My grandmother worked in a school cafeteria in the 50s. She would always tell the story about how they had to paint the lines on the burgers. I mean I’m assuming it was with something edible, but it was the 50s, so who knows.

  2. Fun fact: in many of these corporate chain restaurants like Applebee’s and so on, they don’t cook much of their food from scratch. Rather, they buy it *mostly* cooked from a food service place or corporate kitchen, pull it out of a bag, and cook it the last few minutes.

    Things that are supposed to be grilled already have grill marks on them that were quickly seared on by a device made to do that.

  3. This was always the joke made at the steakhouse whenever a customer sent back an already undercooked steak saying it still wasn’t rare enough.

  4. Sharpie is discovering alternative occupations now that donny twoscoops doesn’t need its help to change the world, I see.
