How did you just skip right past Tak and the Power of Juju?
With WB buying them in 2017, I’d be willing to bet they had major restructuring and expanded a lot. Probably barely even recognizable internally compared to what they were pre-2017.
Game development studios can really change a lot over time. I mean, the developer that literally only made Killzone games starting in 2004 all the way through 2013 then made open world, story-based, RPG Horizon Zero Dawn.
Stupid me mixed them up with Avalanche Studios xD
… did not everyone have this thought when they first saw the trailer?
I mean, come on. The best quality Harry Potter games have been, thus far, the LEGO ones. And that’s mostly on the back of the LEGO game formula and the skill of the Travelers Tales/Warner Bros team.
I know I’m going to get massively downvoted for this. But there *needs* to be a good, solid Harry Potter game, not just a pretty-looking licensed property. And that’s what the previous games have been.
One thing to love about Avalanche, is that they know how to handle license titles. I can’t remember playing a movie based game of theirs that followed (beat to death) the main story line, like other developers do.
That studio knows how to stay true to brands while crafting a new story.
Yes they’re kid targeted games, but chicken little 2 ace in action, and bolt are some of my favorite takes on movie based games.
Id love a true Harry Potter RPG like New Vegas or even Mass Effect 2.
Are y’all forgetting toy story
Remember rocksteady didnt make anything notable but went on Batman arkham asylum.
Cars 2 was dope, fuck you.
I actually played that Cars 2 game when I was little.
I thought Disney infinity were considered good games (for the genre that they are)?
Oh yeah, this is definitely going to be 75% nickle & dime marketplace, 25% game.
Counter Point: Dead by Daylight. Behaviour’s other games are a massive list of licensed shovelware
They made tak and the power of power juju, so im excited lol
uh, Disney infinities weren’t thaaaaaat bad….
Every studio should be given a chance to succeed.
I think we all know there’s a really good chance that it sucks ass, however, there’s always a chance that it’s fun.
Wait, they’re not the company that made the Just Cause games?
Fuck.
I mean, couldn’t you tell from the gameplay and game footage? I don’t want to kill anyone’s hype, but I have absolutely NO trust in this game.
Everyone’s excited because it’s Hogwarts, but that’s the only point the game has 🤷🏻♀️
New Harry Potter game is going to be Wizard 101 with a Hogwarts theme. Hope I’m wrong
If you slept on disney infinity you screwed up.
Fuck off. The Disney Infinity series was amazing.
Disney Infinity was ok, though I don’t quite get why compatibility was such a pain in the ass. It seemed dumb that figs from the previous version wouldn’t work with the newer ones.
fuck.
I’m really hoping they do this game well as I remember when this trailer was leaked and was so excited
I can’t breath hahahahaha
Well yes, but Portkey Games slayed Hogwarts Mystery. So there is some hope.
Moreover, what we have seen in the trailer and in the leak were both amazing.
Something gave me the sense that the hog warts game will not be what we think. I hope I’m so wrong though
Did they make cars mater international? If so I’m in
This post made me realize that there are two studios with the Avalanche name
Disney Infinity was pretty fun. I worked at GameStop when it was big. I usually bought them on super sale with employee discount. Had a blast with relatives. I understand the slight worry though.
Tell Tale made a bunch of crap shovelware before they made the walking dead.
Wait, its not Avalanche who worked on Just Cause and Mad Max?
That’s taken some wind from the hype boat sails.
There’s also portkey games… Who’s last game was a mobile freemium game.
I really want this to be good but I’m afraid it’s going to be a 60€ game with microtransactions.
