  2. “There is no racial bigotry in my beloved Corp. I do not look down on ni–ers, k-kes, wh-ps or gr–sers. Here you are *all* equally worthless.”

    ~GySgt Sgt. Hartman, your senior drill instructor

  3. This might be the greatest quote of all time. And anyone that’s been in the military, marines especially, knows it’s 100% true.

  4. “There is no racial bigotry here! To me, you are all equally worthless!!” Gunnery sergeant hardman

  5. Highly recommend the book “Fighter Pilot” which is about Brigadier General Robin Olds. ‘Chappie” was his vice commander when Operation BOLO was conducted. Both men had giant sets of brass balls.

  6. To quote gunnery sergeant Hartman;

    “Here you are all equally worthless. And my orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in my beloved corps.”

  7. Interesting sound bite that anyone can take what they want from it. Is it a commentary on the Marines? Or a clever commentary on how society treats black people?

  8. Also key, the Marines didn’t have any of those sexual abuse/harassment/misconduct cases in boot camp a few years back when al the other services did. Why? Because, just like the other branches of the military, they knew putting men and women together in boot camp is going to lead to issues. Unlike the other branches, the Marines didn’t allow it anyway. The Marines said “fuck social justice.”

  9. Not military myself, too many health issues, although i did an exemption at one point, and when i arrived at FT. Benning GA, they were like “the fuck is this shit” and sent me back.

    I admit, i joined as a half joke, expecting to be denied right from the get go. the other half of the reason was that my asshole uncle told me i was just making excuses for myself.

    But given how many military friends i have, i do think i can accurately say, outside of the Airforce, this is true.

    In the airforce, everyone is treated like an upper middle class white boy.

  10. It’s an excellent line, and I have no doubt there’s an ironic truth to it, but I bet you $100 they treated black people as if they were even more black.
