  1. I love the universal dog sign for “lets play”. ***stands firm on all fours, jumps with all legs off the air at same time** **wags tail, gives a little pounce ** he is good boi

  2. The little one looked like a tiny general at the beginning, like “hop to it, old bean! There’s fun to be had!”

  3. I remember my Maine Coon old boy kitty always being shockingly diplomatic and helpful to kittens whenever he met them. He would be diplomatic with adult cats too, but whenever we had a kitten in the house he would bring out this whole new side of himself that we never saw otherwise. He was welcoming and assumed a teacher-like role. He would carefully show himself lightly playing with toys, not the rough way he usually did by himself, but sort of push a ball back and forth type play. Then he would walk over to the kitten and lay down on his back and expose his belly. He was so good at showing himself as a peaceful non-threat and all that, inviting the kitten to play gently. So cool.

  4. We got a new dog when we thought our first dog was going to die, she was 12 years old, barely eating and just generally looking frail. After getting the new dog she lived for another 6 years. My family believe it’s because she felt young again, I believe it’s out of spite because she feels we tried to replace her.

  5. This hits me right in the feels.
I had a golden who lived to be 17. Around 14 he began to decline, and our vet recommended getting him a puppy, which we did. I’m convinced it gave us 3 more awesome years with him. He never had much of an “old man” stage because the pup kept him active and energetic.

  6. No it’s I can be replaced I can get off the couch do you want to play ball is there anything else you’d like to do .Pretty much how a man acts went he realizes !

  7. It’s videos like these which bring me great joy.
I had an issue with two of my senior guinea pigs so i got a couple of younger piggies which just made them so much more energetic and happy.

Companionship isn’t just a human need but almost all animals and creatures need it too.

  8. We have two rescues that never learned how to play. The most they would do was tussle around a bit. The older one is not long for this world, so we thought it best to introduce a third dog so the middle one was not lonely. The new one is a year old and full of fun – she’s taught the middle one how to play, and even the big one loves to watch them. It’s a joy!

  9. An old dog’s last task is to pass on it’s knowledge, and funny habits. My old girl, RIP, passed on her habit of barking when she wanted something. Well being that the pup she passed it on too is a beagle the result is quite hilarious because it’s the typical beagle howl you get.
