This seems pretty easy to do. You just get a rock and cut away all the bits that don’t look like a spider.

How did you make the colors different at the end?
I don’t know how people go from visualising what they want to make to translating how to begin carving it down in a 360 approach. To be clear, I draw and I’ve done relief carving but something like this baffles me.
This is absolutely incredible. People who can sculpt just completely amaze me. How you can take a rock or a piece of marble and turn it into something recognizable and beautiful just baffles me. I am always just in awe of people like this.
If you want to practice rock carving, go to a local art supplier and ask if they’ve soapstone.
Soapstone is very soft and can be carved with a knife. It’s relatively cheap. You won’t go through a dozen or so dremel toolheads just carving a leg.
